Using Wireless PIR detectors (in the hall and lounge for example), will raise the alarm if movement occurs. The BT monitoring service automatically raises the alarm to you and your friends by telephone, text message and/or email whilst also sounding an 85 decibel internal siren to warn off the intruder

The BT Home Wireless Burglar Alarm is a high quality easy DIY home alarm system which comes complete with monitoring (the first 3 months are free!). Any telephone line so your alarm panel can be monitored (if you so wish) and a nearby power socket to plug the alarm panel into.

Wireless Home Alarm Monitoring via the internet

If you have Internet access, then you have the option to access your home security system account online and BT's monitoring fees are only 16p per day (£5 per month), which is far less than any comparable service. Alarm monitoring is an effective way of protecting your home, possessions and family. If movement or smoke (if optional Wireless Smoke detector is installed) is detected when your alarm system is armed, BT's monitoring service automatically calls your home to check for false alarms. If it is not a false alarm, alert messages are sent to you and up to 2 other people to inform them of the problem.

This unique home security service alerts you to the threat so you can decide on the best action to take. Alert messages are sent by phone, SMS text message and email. You control who receives these messages.

BT also monitor for panic attack, triggered by using the panel or keyfob within your home.
