The Receiver unit with the system has up to 4 channels for receiving detection signals so by adding an extra detector you can now protect perhaps the side entrance to your property or maybe cover an additional entrance gate, garden area, farm buildings and barns or garages and machinery storage areas so you know if anyone is prowling around. Not only that, but by assigning whichever channel you choose on the receiver, you will know which detector has triggered!

Each PIR Movement Sensor produces an Infra-Red beam about 1 meter wide at the furthest point (about 5 degrees) and has a maximum range of 18 to 25m but may be adjusted down if required. Because this unit uses a narrow single sided beam it can be placed above the height of normal animals so as to help alleviate false alarms.
