Description:

Ranch Style Driveway Alarm This driveway alarm provides one of the longest range alarms at the price, in the country. With a range of 900 meters (over half a mile - line of sight) there is little to rival this kit. The PIR Movement Detector supplied with the basic kit comes already housed within a weatherproof housing and the Receiver Unit simply plugs into the mains electricity with the UK Adaptor provided and may be stood on a desk or mounted to a wall. This kit is fully adapted ready to use in the UK and comes with a 12 month Guarantee for peace of mind.

This really is the next step in the evolution of wireless driveway technology following years of experience in the USA resulting in the ultimate wireless system. The Receiver has up to 4 channels so that you may install additional detectors at any time and programme them to different channels, you can even add more than one detector to each channel so that, for example, you may want 2 movement detectors located at the main gate so each could be assigned to the same channel number. Each channel has its own red LED and a different sound so that it is obvious very quickly which detector has set the alarm off. There is even a relay output on channel one which allows the user to add a Flashing Light or 100dB Siren (see accessories below) to ensure that any alarm on that channel is not missed! By using channel one, the power for any such Siren or Flashing Light is derived direct from the Receiver itself and requires no further power supply.

The PIR Movement Detector operates from a 9v PP3 battery (supplied) which in normal use, will last between 6 - 12 months depending upon how often the PIR is triggered. The width of the Infra-Red Beam is 1 - 1.5 meters with a maximum beam range of 25 meters (each PIR can be adjusted to either 8 - 15 or 25 meter beam length). As this produces a narrow beam, the detector can be set above the height of normal animals so as to help avoid false alarms. The Receiver will operate a different sound according to the channel you connect your detector to (Classical - Westminster Chime - Ding Dong or Whistle) and will sound for several seconds together with a red LED light above the channel number. This will quickly identify to you exactly which detector has operated. There is a volume control so you can decide upon how loud you want it.
